Open House at 963

Brenton Evans Pianos will be hosting an Open House Sunday, October 19th from noon to 4pm as part of the Upper State Street Fall Festival

Stop in and listen to live jazz performed by prominent pianist Tony Aiardo, view the work of artist Sigrun Mueller, have some refreshments and visit.  Discounts will be offered on all pianos.  Please bring your friends, family and students!

An Evening of Grand Sonatas. Oct. 10, 8 PM.

I am very pleased to present:

Mr. Braun will be performing on a restored 1907 Mason and Hamlin model AA, Rosewood case.

The Program:

Sonate in F major, Opus 24, for Flute and Piano. ‘Spring’ Ludwig von Beethoven.

Machines of Loving Grace, for Flute and Piano. Deborah Fischer Teason, Composer.

Sonata in A Major for Flute and Piano… Cesar Franck.

Music will begin promptly at 8pm.

I am very pleased to present this very exciting pianist, George Bowerman, at 963 State St. Piano shop and Gallery.

I am inviting young musicians and parents of young musicians to come witness a truly inspired young man who has just been accepted to study music at Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA.

Jazz at the Piano Shop!

Jazz at the Piano Shop with Jeff Fuller & Friends

On Saturday, April 26th, at 8:00pm, New Haven’s premier jazz bassist Jeff Fuller will be joined by pianist Kent Hewitt and Bob Kolb on tenor sax and flute. These fine musicians will be putting their expert spin on time honored jazz standards, blues and bossa novas. Jeff will be showcasing his Hawkes Hybrid Upton bass, made in Mystic, CT by Gary Upton . Kent will be playing a restored rosewood, Mason and Hamlin model AA, built in 1905.

Come hear two sets of legendary music played on very special instruments by very gifted musicians.

‘NOT ONLY THAT’while you listen, enjoy looking at:

“Jazz Collages”- Painter, Sigrun Mueller. A ‘First Showing’ compelling collection by this celebrated artist, inspired by the late Oscar Peterson, Art Tatum and others- will be on display. Sigrun will be on hand to share the great music and answer any questions that you may have about her work.

Lucky Us! Rusty of legendary Marjolaine Pastries is bringing his fine food. Rusty has invited those of us who would enjoy coffee and more of his legendary creations, to walk next door after the concert!

Since last year we have hosted 10 very well received concerts featuring only the best of New Havens finest musicians. I am happy to report it looks as though this trend will continue as we are already planning concerts for Fall and Spring of 2008/09. Please Join Us!
